Body Sculpting Class today (4-24-09) at noon

Meet with Maha today at noon in the weight room for a Body Sculpting Class!!!

Michael is G-R-E-A-T!!! He helped me RUN (mostly) a whole 2 miles!!!!!

I can also say that I have been totally just on the "thinking" and "eating a little healthier" side of this experience until TODAY!!! I met Michael Torres at the baseball fields. He gave me all kinds of pointers to help my mind get ready for our run. He had already measured off the way, so we would know when we had reached one mile. Since it was only Michael and I, it was like I had my own personal trainer!!! Thank you Michael!!

Our regimen was to run for 5 minutes, walk for 1 minute and repeat for 5 times....for a total 30 minute work-out. It was such a fun challenge, and Michael was such an encourager. I huffed and puffed, BUT I DID IT....a total of 2 miles!!! I feel like the little girl who gets to ride a bicycle for the very first time and doesn't fall off!! I didn't fall, and I didn't pass out, and I even got to my desk on time. Now, the real challenge is to see if I can make this a habit instead of a one time - I did it once. Michael said he will be my accountability agent. I encourage anyone and everyone to give it a try. It was EXHILERATING!!!!

I also thought I should write this before I get all sore, and while I still had the running endorphins in my body helping me feel so successful. I know my bones and muscles are gonna let me know that I did something I haven't done in a LONG time. Anyone else want to participate next week, please let us know...my extention is 1564 (Debbie).

Lisa's blog thoughts

I'll start us off...
I love the "no sugar" challenge, but so far I have been completely unable to act on the daily cardio exercise or the daily crunches and pushups. I missed Maha's Tuesday sculpting class, which I am VERY sad about, but I hope to make it next time! I am looking for things that I can continue to do long after the one month challenge is over.

Special Invitation to COMMUNICATE, ENCOURAGE, and GROW fit!

Lisa as our organizer is REALLY needing to hear from each of us about what is working, what is not working, if anything is working....just what is going on in our "FIT CLUB EXPERIENCE."

To facilitate this invitation to participate in the blog and to help us all change or at least participate in some way in "group fit thinking," I will send a "How to Blog" visual step by step instruction. Please feel free to call me at ext. 1564 and I will either walk you through or come over to your computer. We all need this type of communication to help sometimes.

Signed - (at least at this time according to my scales) ,
